Overview

Confidential client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join an AI-augmented engineering program. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience building AI-enabled software, cloud, automation, and data solutions. The program includes an engineering bootcamp, certifications, and ongoing learning to help you develop a strong foundation in modern delivery practices and AI-assisted development.


What You’ll Do

  • Learn and use AI-assisted development tools alongside experienced engineers.
  • Write, test, debug, and improve code as part of a small cross-functional pod.
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven features that enhance AI experiences.
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on projects.

Required Qualifications

We encourage applications from candidates who may not check every box. Successful applicants typically have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional experience gained through coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, or personal projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate on a team.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a fast learning mindset.
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering quality work.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience with APIs, automation, databases, and modern software delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative source-control workflows.
  • Projects, internships, or coursework involving software, AI, cloud, or data engineering.

Training & Certification

  • Complete the Frontier bootcamp and pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment on AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, and delivery fundamentals.
  • Earn Frontier certifications and participate in ongoing technical learning and mentorship.
  • Work on hands-on project work in a collaborative pod while learning from experienced practitioners.

Locations & Start Date

This role is located at one of the following office locations: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these offices and follow hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided — please apply only if you are currently located in, or can relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.

Start dates are expected in Summer 2026; exact start details will be provided if you are selected.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level).
  • This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive, where applicable.
