About the Role

Confidential Client’s Frontier program builds AI-augmented engineering teams that combine AI, software engineering, cloud, data, quality, infrastructure, and operations to deliver measurable business outcomes. Frontier Certified Engineers (FCEs) work in small, collaborative pods and learn to use AI-powered tools and modern engineering practices to solve real-world client problems. This is an entry-level program designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want structured training, mentorship, and hands-on project experience.


What You’ll Gain

Responsibilities

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to design and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data pipelines that improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support tasks
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Participate in ongoing technical training, certifications, and hands-on learning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a fast-learning mindset
  • Ownership mentality and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

(The items below are preferred but not required; we encourage you to apply even if you have only some of these experiences.)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Project experience from internships, coursework, open-source contributions, or personal projects related to software, AI, cloud, or automation
  • Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical learning

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod environment
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and Frontier development programs
  • Learn from experienced Frontier practitioners while building the skills to contribute to AI-native client solutions

Location & Work Model

This position is based in one of the following office locations: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these offices and follow applicable hybrid work expectations.

Start Date

Frontier Certified Engineers are expected to begin employment in Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be communicated in advance to help candidates plan.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level)
  • This role may be eligible for Confidential Client’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms
