Overview

confidential client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join a next‑generation engineering program focused on AI-augmented delivery. This position provides structured training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and mentorship to early-career technologists who want to build AI-enabled software, cloud solutions, and automation.

What You’ll Do

You will learn and contribute on real projects inside a small, cross-functional pod. Typical activities include:

• Learn and use AI-assisted development tools and agent workflows to accelerate engineering tasks
• Write, test, debug, and improve code across backend, frontend, or scripting tasks
• Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation pipelines, and retrieval/knowledge systems
• Evaluate AI outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
• Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
• Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
• Participate in continuous technical learning, certifications, and Frontier bootcamp projects

Required Qualifications

We encourage applicants who are recent graduates or early-career professionals. Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
• Recent graduate or early-career technical experience gained via coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, hackathons, capstone or personal projects
• Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, automation, or data engineering
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate in team-oriented environments and a growth mindset

Preferred Qualifications

(Preferred, not required — applicable experience from coursework, internships, projects, or certifications)

• Experience with one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#
• Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted dev tools
• Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and software development methodologies
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Academic or internship projects involving AI, cloud, automation, or data engineering

Training & Certification

• Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
• Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work inside a pod
• Ongoing technical learning and certifications, with mentorship from experienced Frontier practitioners

This role is based in one of the following office locations; associates are expected to work from the office and follow hybrid expectations:

• Teaneck, NJ
• Bridgewater, NJ

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual base salary: $100,000 USD
• May be eligible for discretionary annual incentive (subject to plan rules)
