Overview
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join an AI-augmented engineering program. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, cloud platforms, and modern software delivery practices. The position includes structured training, mentorship, and certification opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and apply AI-enabled engineering approaches to build software solutions.
- Write, test, debug, and iterate on code as part of a small, cross-functional pod.
- Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven features.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
- Contribute to knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices in solution development.
- Participate in technical training, bootcamp projects, and ongoing certification activities.

Who We’re Looking For
We encourage applications from early-career professionals who demonstrate:
- A technical foundation from a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Technical experience gained through coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
- Curiosity, adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn quickly.
- Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate in team environments.
This is an entry-level opportunity — professional AI experience is not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (see above).
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience from academic or practical projects.
- Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, automation, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with ownership and accountability for deliverables.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, data engineering concepts, and source control (Git).
- Participation in relevant projects, internships, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
Training & Certification
- Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals.
- Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in collaborative pods.
- Engage in ongoing technical learning and certification programs.
Locations & Start Date
This opportunity is based in one of the following U.S. offices: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these locations and follow hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates should apply only if they are currently located in, or can relocate at their own expense to, one of these locations.
Start date: Summer 2026 (exact dates will be communicated during the hiring process).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level).
- May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program subject to plan terms.
