Overview

Confidential Client is launching an entry-level engineering program to develop AI-enabled delivery skills. As a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE), you'll participate in structured training, an engineering bootcamp, and hands-on client work while learning to collaborate with AI-assisted development tools. This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want rapid skills growth across AI, cloud, software engineering, and automation.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions to improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
  • Collaborate within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches
  • Participate in technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with relevant coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, automation, or related fields
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn quickly
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred (not required)

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and modern software development practices
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Project experience from internships, coursework, personal projects, or open-source contributions

Training & Start Date

  • Pass the program assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, delivery, and business fundamentals
  • Complete the engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
  • Ongoing technical learning and Frontier certifications as part of program development
  • Target start: Summer 2026 — exact dates will be communicated in advance

Location & Work Authorization

This opportunity is based in Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these office locations and follow hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided; apply only if you are currently located in, or can relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level)
  • May be eligible for Confidential Client’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms
