Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer, you will:

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance
  • Participate in building knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions that improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support activities
  • Collaborate within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches
  • Participate in technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience gained through coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn quickly
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering quality work

Preferred (Not Required)

These skills are helpful but not required; relevant coursework, projects, or internships count.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices
  • Academic, internship, or personal projects in software development, AI, cloud, data, or automation

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, delivery, and business fundamentals)
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and certification programs
  • Work alongside experienced practitioners to build skills needed for AI-native systems and client solutions

Location & Start Date

This opportunity is based in Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; and Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these office locations and follow hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided; apply only if you are currently located in, or can relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.

Start date: Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be communicated with ample notice.


Salary & Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD for this Associate-level role.
  • May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program consistent with the client’s applicable plans (subject to plan terms).
