Overview

This entry-level engineering program (Frontier Certified Engineer, FCE) provides structured training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and mentorship to early-career technologists who want to work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-assisted development. You will join a small, collaborative pod to deliver AI-enabled solutions that create measurable business value for clients of the confidential client.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies.
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI-powered tools.
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support tasks.
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions to improve AI experiences.
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on learning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, or personal projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a fast-learning mindset.
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

The items below are helpful but not required — candidates who meet some are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering.
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and data engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Projects or internships involving software development, AI, cloud, or automation.

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, delivery, and business fundamentals.
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod.
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and Frontier development programs.

Location & Start Date

This role is based in one of the following office locations; associates are expected to work from one of these offices and follow hybrid work expectations:

  • Plano, TX
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Teaneck, NJ
  • Bridgewater, NJ

Relocation assistance is not provided. Please apply only if you are currently located in, or able to relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.

Start date: Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be communicated with time to plan.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level).
  • May be eligible for the confidential client’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms.

Work Authorization

The confidential client cannot provide sponsorship for U.S. work authorization for this role (including CPT/OPT). Candidates must have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
