Overview

Confidential Client is hiring Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) — an entry-level, hands-on engineering role focused on AI-augmented software delivery. This program combines structured training, mentorship, and project experience to help early-career engineers grow skills in AI, software engineering, cloud, automation, and modern delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer you will:

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions that improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support activities
  • Collaborate within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches
  • Participate in technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences

Required Qualifications

We encourage early-career applicants — you do not need to meet every preferred qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn quickly
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred (not required) experience includes:

  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Exposure to APIs, automation platforms, databases, and data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Project experience from internships, personal work, academic projects, or open-source contributions

Training & Certification

To become an FCE you will:

  • Complete the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work inside a collaborative pod
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and development programs

Location & Start Date

This position is expected to be onsite/hybrid at one of these U.S. offices:

  • Plano, TX
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Teaneck, NJ
  • Bridgewater, NJ

Associates are expected to work from one of these office locations and follow applicable hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided; please apply only if you currently live in, or can relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.

Start date: Summer 2026 (exact start dates will be communicated in advance).


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD
  • Eligibility for the client’s discretionary annual incentive program (subject to plan terms)
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k) plan and contributions, long-term and short-term disability, paid parental leave, employee stock purchase program (where applicable), learning and development programs, professional certifications, and employee assistance/wellness resources
