Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join an AI-augmented engineering program that blends software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-assisted development. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want structured training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and mentorship while contributing to client projects.


What You’ll Do

As a Frontier Certified Engineer, you will:

  • Learn and apply AI-assisted development tools and agent-based workflows to build and improve software and automation solutions.
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools.
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and automation.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
  • Work within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training, certifications, and hands-on bootcamp projects.

Who We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with relevant coursework, internships, co-ops, apprenticeships, military experience, research, capstones, hackathons, certifications, or personal projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate on teams.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.

Preferred (nice-to-have)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering.
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and data engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Training & Certification

  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp and hands-on project work within a collaborative pod.
  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals.
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and mentorship programs.

Location & Start Date

This role is based in one of the following U.S. offices: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these office locations and follow hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates should apply only if they are currently located in, or can relocate at their own expense to, one of these locations.

Start Date: Summer 2026 (exact start dates will be communicated in advance).


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level).
  • May be eligible for discretionary annual incentive pay, subject to plan terms.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and contributions, long- and short-term disability, paid parental leave, paid holidays and PTO, employee stock purchase plan, learning & development programs, professional certifications, and wellness resources.
