Overview

This is an entry-level Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) program-run role supporting a confidential client in the IT industry. The program trains early-career engineers to work alongside AI-assisted tools, cloud platforms, and modern software delivery practices. You’ll join a cohort-style onboarding and bootcamp, then contribute as part of a small, cross-functional pod on client-facing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI-enabled tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and integrations
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Contribute to knowledge systems, data-driven retrieval workflows, and improved AI experiences
  • Help with testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support tasks
  • Work within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver customer and business outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI and engineering best practices in solution development
  • Continuously learn new tools, cloud services, and delivery approaches

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with relevant technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, personal projects, or similar hands-on experiences
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset with an eagerness to learn quickly
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

(The following are preferred but not required — we encourage applicants who meet some of these through coursework, projects, internships, or self-study.)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Hands-on projects, academic or personal, in software development, AI, cloud, or automation
  • Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical learning

Training & Start Date

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals)
  • Complete a Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod environment
  • Ongoing technical learning, certifications, and professional development will be supported
  • Expected start: Summer 2026 — exact dates will be communicated in advance

Location, Compensation & Benefits

  • Work locations: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; Bridgewater, NJ — associates are expected to work from one of these offices and follow hybrid expectations
  • Relocation assistance is not provided; apply only if you are currently located in or can relocate at your own expense to one of the listed locations
  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level)
  • May be eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on performance and applicable plan terms
