Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) — an entry-level, full-time program for early-career technologists who want hands-on experience with AI-augmented software delivery. This structured program includes training, a hands-on bootcamp, mentorship, and placement in small cross-functional pods to work on real client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer, you will:

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, performance, and business relevance
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions that improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
  • Collaborate within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, capstones, hackathons, open-source contributions, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a fast-learning mindset
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

  • Experience with languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Academic or project experience in software development, AI, cloud, or automation
  • Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical learning

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, business fundamentals)
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a pod
  • Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and learning programs
  • Work alongside Frontier practitioners to build skills for AI-native systems

Location & Start Date

This role is based in one of the following office locations. Associates are expected to work from office and follow hybrid work expectations:

  • Plano, TX
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Teaneck, NJ
  • Bridgewater, NJ

Start date: Summer 2026. Candidates should apply only if they are currently located in, or able to relocate at their own expense to, one of these locations. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level)
  • May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms
