About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring early-career engineers into a structured Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) program focused on AI-enabled software delivery. This entry-level position combines training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and project work in small, cross-functional pods to build skills in AI-assisted development, cloud, automation, and software engineering.

Who We’re Looking For

We encourage early-career professionals and recent graduates with technical backgrounds and a strong desire to learn. Typical backgrounds include:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Practical experience from internships, research, capstones, hackathons, military service, apprenticeships, open-source contributions, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, automation, or data engineering
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset

This is an entry-level role — candidates should apply even if they don’t meet every preferred qualification.


Responsibilities

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and apply them in engineering workflows
  • Write, test, debug, and improve code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation, and data-driven features
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, quality, and business relevance
  • Help build retrieval workflows, knowledge systems, and data pipelines that improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
  • Work within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver customer and business outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and hands-on learning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar)
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience (coursework, internships, co-ops, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, military experience, etc.)
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

(The following are helpful but not required — candidates who have partial experience should still apply.)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and collaborative development practices
  • Academic or personal projects involving software development, AI, cloud, or automation

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and Frontier engineering development programs

Location & Start Date

  • This role is based in one of the following office locations: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; Bridgewater, NJ.
  • Associates are expected to work from one of these offices and follow hybrid work expectations.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided — candidates should apply only if currently located in, or able to relocate at their own expense to, one of these locations.
  • Expected start: Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be communicated in advance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level)
  • May be eligible for discretionary annual incentive program (subject to plan terms)
