This entry-level engineering role (Frontier Certified Engineer / FCE) is for early-career technologists who want structured training, hands-on experience, and mentorship to build AI-augmented software, cloud, data, and automation solutions. The confidential client’s Frontier program combines AI, software engineering, cloud, and operations to deliver measurable business outcomes using small, cross-functional pods and modern engineering practices.

What you’ll do

• Learn and use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to build software features and automation.
• Write, test, debug, and enhance code as part of a cross-functional pod.
• Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
• Help build retrieval workflows, knowledge systems, and data-driven components that improve AI experiences.
• Participate in testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
• Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
• Take part in technical training, certifications, workshops, and the Frontier bootcamp.

Who we’re looking for (minimum & preferred qualifications)

Required (minimum)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or relevant personal projects.
• Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering or automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and an ownership mindset.

Preferred (not required)

• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted dev tools.
• Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, software development methodologies, and source control (Git).
• Hands-on academic, internship, open-source, or personal projects involving software, cloud, data, or automation.

Training & career growth

• Complete the Frontier onboarding, Center of Excellence assessment, and engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work.
• Earn Frontier certifications and continue learning via structured programs, mentorship, and on-the-job experience.
• Work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and AI practitioners with exposure to client projects and modern delivery practices.
• Clear paths to progress into engineering, cloud, data, or AI-specialist roles as you build capabilities.

Location & start date

This role is based in one of the following U.S. offices: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these locations and follow applicable hybrid work expectations.

Start date: Summer 2026. Candidates should apply only if they are currently located in, or can relocate at their own expense to, one of the listed locations. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Compensation & benefits

• Annual base salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level).
• May be eligible for discretionary annual incentive compensation per company plans.
