Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCEs) to join a next-generation engineering program focused on AI-augmented delivery. This program blends structured training, hands-on bootcamps, mentorship, and real-world client work to help early-career technologists develop skills in software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-assisted development.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for recent graduates and early-career technology professionals who want structured training and practical experience. You will:

  • Participate in a formal onboarding and bootcamp to learn Frontier engineering practices.
  • Join a small, cross-functional pod and work alongside experienced engineers and AI practitioners.
  • Get hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications, automation, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Earn Frontier certifications and continue technical development through ongoing learning opportunities.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from early-career candidates who demonstrate:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
  • Interest in software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and an ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer you will:

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering technologies to build software solutions.
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools.
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and integration with cloud services.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
  • Contribute to knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions that improve AI experiences.
  • Assist with testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Continuously learn new tools and approaches through training and on-the-job experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related).
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience from coursework, internships, research, military experience, or personal projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, automation, or data engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team and learn quickly in emerging technology areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and collaborative development practices.
  • Academic, internship, or personal projects involving software, AI, cloud, or automation.

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals).
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp, including hands-on project work within a collaborative pod.
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and certifications.
  • Work alongside experienced Frontier practitioners to build skills for AI-native client solutions.

Location & Start Date

This role is based in one of the following office locations; associates are expected to work from the office and follow hybrid expectations:

  • Plano, TX
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Teaneck, NJ
  • Bridgewater, NJ

Start date: Summer 2026. Candidates should apply only if currently located in, or able to relocate at their own expense to, one of the listed locations. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.


Salary & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level).
  • May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program terms.
