Key Responsibilities
As a Frontier Certified Engineer, you will:
- Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
- Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI-powered tools
- Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance
- Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions that improve AI experiences
- Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support tasks
- Collaborate within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes
- Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
- Participate in technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, open-source contributions, or personal projects
- Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or automation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a rapid learning mindset
- Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work
Preferred Qualifications
These are helpful but not required; equivalent academic or hands-on experience counts.
- Experience with one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar
- Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
- Exposure to APIs, automation platforms, databases, software development methodologies, or data engineering concepts
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Project experience from internships, academic work, or personal/open-source projects involving software, AI, cloud, data, or automation
- Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical growth
Training & Certification
- Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
- Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
- Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and Frontier development programs
- Learn directly from experienced Frontier practitioners
Total Compensation
- Base salary: $100,000 per year (as stated by the client)
- Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus

Location & Start Date
- Hybrid role requiring in-office presence approximately 3 days per week in a Toronto, ON office (as stated by the client)
- New hire start date: September 2026 (final start date subject to business needs and availability)
