About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join a next-generation engineering program focused on AI-augmented delivery. This structured program combines hands-on training, mentorship, and real client work to help early-career technologists develop skills across software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-powered tooling. The role includes a bootcamp and ongoing certification pathways.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Recent graduates or early-career professionals in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Candidates with technical experience from internships, co-ops, research, military service, capstone projects, hackathons, certifications, open-source contributions, or personal projects
  • Strong curiosity, adaptability, and a demonstrated eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Learn and use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance production-quality code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and performance
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support tasks
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data pipelines that improve AI experiences
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously participate in technical training, certifications, and hands-on learning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with relevant technical coursework or hands-on experience
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and collaborative development practices
  • Academic, internship, or personal projects involving software, AI, cloud, or automation

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, business fundamentals)
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
  • Participate in ongoing Frontier technical learning, certifications, and development programs
  • Work alongside Frontier practitioners to build skills for AI-native systems and client solutions

Compensation, Location & Start Date

  • Base salary: $100,000 per year (base pay). This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits that support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
  • Location: Hybrid role requiring approximately 3 days per week in a client or Confidential Client office in Toronto, ON. Specific work arrangements will depend on project and client requirements.
  • Start date: New hires will start in September 2026.
