About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring entry level engineers into a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) program focused on AI-augmented engineering and modern software delivery. This is an early career, full time role that combines structured training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and project work in small cross functional pods to build production-ready solutions that use AI, cloud, and automation.


What You’ll Do

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and collaborate with AI-powered systems to design, build, and test software.
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code across applications and automation workflows.
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, retrieval and knowledge systems, and data-driven solutions.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, relevance, and accuracy.
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
  • Work in a small, cross functional pod to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Continuously learn new tools, languages, and delivery approaches via structured training and mentorship.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, coops, research, military experience, certifications, capstones, hackathons, or personal projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in teams.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, ownership mindset, and eagerness to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

The following are helpful but not required. Candidates should apply even if they have experience in only some areas.

  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering.
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and collaborative development practices.

Training, Certification & Progression

  • Complete a Frontier engineering bootcamp and hands on projects within a pod environment.
  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals.
  • Earn Frontier certifications and continue technical development through trainings, workshops, and mentorship.
  • Opportunity for ongoing learning and career growth into engineering roles supporting AI-native client solutions.

Location & Start Date

This position is office-based with hybrid expectations at one of the following locations: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ. Candidates must be currently located in, or able to relocate at their own expense to, one of these locations. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Start date: Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be communicated to selected candidates.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $100,000 USD.
  • May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k), disability coverage, paid parental leave, employee stock purchase plan, learning and development programs, and wellness resources.
