Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join an AI-enabled engineering program designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists. This program combines structured training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and mentorship to build skills across AI, cloud, software engineering, and automation. Candidates should be motivated learners with a technical foundation and a passion for building software-driven, AI-augmented solutions.

Core Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer you will:

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and agents to build and improve software.
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools.
  • Contribute to AI-enabled applications, workflows, automation, and data-driven solutions.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
  • Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and other foundations that improve AI experiences.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support activities.
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Continuously learn new tools, cloud platforms, and delivery practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with relevant technical experience (coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or personal projects).
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment and quick learning aptitude.
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work.

Preferred (Not Required) Skills

  • Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering.
  • Exposure to APIs, automation platforms, databases, and data-engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Project experience from internships, open-source, academic projects, or personal work.

Training & Certification Requirements

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals.
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp and hands-on project work in a collaborative pod.
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and certification programs.

Locations & Work Arrangement

This role is expected to be performed from one of the following Confidential Client office locations (hybrid expectations apply):

  • Plano, TX
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Teaneck, NJ
  • Bridgewater, NJ

Relocation assistance is not provided. Apply only if you are currently located in, or can relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.


Start Date

Frontier Certified Engineers are expected to begin employment in Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be provided with ample notice.


Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $100,000 USD for this Associate-level position.
  • May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program (subject to plan terms).

Work Authorization
