Who We’re Looking For

The confidential client seeks early-career technologists who are curious, collaborative, and excited about AI-enabled engineering. Ideal candidates include:

  • Recent graduates or early-career professionals with degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Candidates who have practical technical experience through internships, capstones, research, open-source work, military service, apprenticeships, hackathons, or personal projects.
  • People with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Applicants who are adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE), you will:

  • Learn and use AI-assisted development tools to design, build, test, and iterate software solutions.
  • Write, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI tooling.
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven features.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
  • Help build retrieval workflows, knowledge systems, and production-ready integrations that improve AI experiences.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support tasks.
  • Follow responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
  • Continuously learn new tools, cloud services, and delivery approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or similar).
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience (projects, internships, coursework, capstones, military experience, certifications, hackathons, or similar).
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, or automation.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

(Preferred, not required — we encourage applicants who may meet some of these through coursework or projects.)

  • Experience with one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
  • Knowledge of APIs, databases, automation platforms, or data engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Academic or personal projects demonstrating software, cloud, or AI work.

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI fundamentals, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, delivery, and business basics.
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp and hands-on pod projects.
  • Participate in ongoing learning, technical certifications, and mentorship programs.

Location & Start Date

  • This role is expected to work on-site / hybrid from one of these U.S. offices: Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; or Bridgewater, NJ.
  • Start timeframe: Summer 2026.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided; please apply only if you are currently located in, or can relocate at your own expense to, one of the listed locations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000 USD per year (Associate-level).
  • May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program pursuant to the confidential client’s plans.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays and PTO, 401(k), disability coverage, paid parental leave, employee stock purchase plan, learning & development programs, and wellness resources.

  • The confidential client cannot provide U.S. work sponsorship for this role (including CPT/OPT). Please ensure you have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before applying.
