Overview
Confidential Client's Frontier program is an entry-level engineering program focused on building AI-augmented solutions. As a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE), you will join a structured training and bootcamp experience that pairs hands-on project work with mentorship from experienced practitioners. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career technologists looking to grow in software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-assisted development.

What You’ll Do
- Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering technologies to build and improve software
- Write, test, debug, and enhance code alongside teammates and AI-powered tools
- Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven solutions
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
- Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data solutions that improve AI experiences
- Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
- Work in a small, cross-functional pod to deliver customer and business outcomes
- Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
- Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, capstone projects, hackathons, personal projects, or similar
- Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn quickly
- Ownership mindset and accountability for high-quality work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
- Exposure to APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and collaborative development practices
- Experience through academic, personal, or internship projects in software, AI, cloud, or automation
Training & Certification
- Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
- Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
- Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and development programs
Location & Work Model
This opportunity is based in Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; Teaneck, NJ; and Bridgewater, NJ. Associates are expected to work from one of these office locations and follow applicable hybrid work expectations. Relocation assistance is not provided; apply only if you are currently located in, or able to relocate at your own expense to, one of these locations.
Start Date
Frontier Certified Engineers are expected to begin employment in Summer 2026. Exact start dates will be communicated with sufficient notice.
Salary & Compensation
- Annual salary: $100,000 USD (Associate-level)
- May be eligible for discretionary annual incentive program, subject to plan terms
