What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Frontend Software Engineer to own and deliver the frontend experience for web applications used across the organization. This is a hybrid role based in Wakefield, MA (in-office one day per week, plus occasional trainings).

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, backend engineers, and stakeholders to design and deliver frontend features.
  • Build reusable, testable, and performant UI components using TypeScript and React.
  • Convert legacy interfaces into modern web-based applications aligned with CI/CD practices.
  • Integrate securely with backend APIs (REST/OpenAPI) using standard authentication (JWT) and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, write automated frontend tests, and help shape frontend architecture and standards.
  • Contribute to build pipelines, deployment automation, and internal developer tools to improve delivery quality.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications / must-haves:

  • Experience building production frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and state management.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and OpenAPI.
  • Familiarity with secure authentication patterns (e.g., JWT).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (1 day in the Wakefield, MA office).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
  • Salary range: $95,000–$105,000. This posting includes a salary range to comply with applicable pay-transparency laws and reflects the range for this Wakefield, MA location. Exact compensation may vary based on experience and location.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with AWS and cloud-hosted frontend patterns.
  • Familiarity with git-based workflows, CI/CD build pipelines, and release automation.
  • Frontend testing experience (unit, integration, end-to-end).
  • Prior experience modernizing legacy systems or migrating desktop apps to web.
