What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain mission-focused, secure web applications for a fully onsite Denver, CO program. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver user-facing features, ensure accessibility compliance, and integrate with backend services.
- Frontend web development using modern techniques and frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, SASS/LESS, Bootstrap)
- Develop modular, maintainable JavaScript (ES6+) applications; follow strict-mode and modern modularization patterns
- Build UI components and views using frameworks such as React, Angular, or comparable MV* frameworks
- Consume and integrate with RESTful APIs and support secure data flows
- Create pixel-accurate web layouts from design assets and implement views/templates in full-stack frameworks (Rails, Express, Django)
- Ensure Section 508 / accessibility compliance in UI implementations
- Use Git/GitHub for source control and collaborate effectively in a team-based workflow
- Work in an Agile (Scrum/Lean/SAFe) environment; participate in iterative delivery and frequent deployments
- Rapidly research and adopt new tools and open-source solutions when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance required at start; ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 in production applications
- Experience with one or more frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, Backbone, etc.)
- Practical experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services
- Proficient with version control (Git); experience using GitHub in team workflows
- Comfortable working in Agile/Lean teams with frequent deployments
- Experience or familiarity with accessibility (Section 508) best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with container tooling (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Puppet, etc.)
- Prior experience working with Java service development is a plus
- Experience with data visualization libraries (D3) or large-scale frontend performance tuning
- Exposure to SAFe or scaled Agile processes
