Role overview

We’re partnered exclusively with a well-funded, fast-moving frontier AI startup based in San Francisco. This is a hands-on frontend engineering role with large ownership from day one — you will ship polished UI features on a data-rich product and work closely with engineers, researchers, and product to turn complex ideas into production-ready experiences.

Salary: $180,000 - $225,000 + meaningful equity
Location: San Francisco, CA — onsite 5 days/week

What You’ll Do

• Ship polished, high-performance UI features used by thousands of users daily
• Build fast, responsive interfaces on a complex, data-heavy product
• Design and implement UI surfaces that make AI-driven solutions intuitive for customers
• Own features end-to-end and iterate quickly with product and research partners
• Raise the bar on frontend quality, performance, and tooling

Required qualifications (Non‑negotiable)

• 3+ years of frontend engineering experience (typical hire 3–6 years)
• Strong production experience with React and Next.js
• Proficient in TypeScript (this is tested in the technical screen)
• Proven experience shipping zero-to-one product features with measurable business impact
• Experience at a VC-backed startup or fast-moving scale-up
• Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, performance)
• Excellent written and spoken English for high-bandwidth collaboration
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

• Experience building data-heavy or ML-powered UIs at production scale
• Familiarity with TailwindCSS, Node.js, tRPC, PostgreSQL, or AWS
• Track record of high personal ownership and shipping at pace

• Interviews focus on frontend architecture, performance, product impact and collaboration.
• This role is full-time and onsite in San Francisco (5 days/week).

• Base salary range: $180,000 — $225,000 per year, plus meaningful equity
