Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Front-end–focused Software Engineer (Staff level) to join a small, high-output engineering team building a customer-facing product for MSPs and security teams. This is a contract role based in San Francisco, CA.

Compensation (provided): Base pay range $250,000–$285,000 / year plus equity (BOE). Final pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

What you’ll do

• Own and ship large, customer-facing product features end-to-end — from design through production
• Build high-quality front-end experiences using React and TypeScript for MSP and security users
• Translate customer needs into product-quality features and drive product excellence
• Architect scalable front-end solutions as the platform grows (from ~10K businesses toward 10x that scale)
• Help build new product capabilities for attack prevention leveraging the company's unique data moat

Qualifications (required)

• 3–8 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong front-end focus
• Proficient with React and TypeScript
• Demonstrated ability to ship customer-facing features end-to-end
• Experience working in fast-moving startups or similarly small teams that move quickly
• Strong product sense and attention to UX and quality
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

• Experience building software for MSPs, security teams, or SaaS products used by administrators
• Background designing front-end architectures for scale
• Prior startup experience where you contributed across product, engineering, and operations
