Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an experienced FP&A Consultant — Experienced Associate to support financial planning & analysis (FP&A) engagements in the New Orleans (Custom House), LA area. This role focuses on analyzing financial data, building models and KPIs, and helping clients improve budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze financial statements and operational data to develop meaningful performance metrics and KPIs
• Design and implement performance management frameworks to improve efficiency and visibility
• Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and provide actionable insights for strategic decisions
• Use financial management and data visualization tools to synthesize results and present to stakeholders
• Monitor trends, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and translate findings into recommendations
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand business needs and deliver tailored financial solutions
• Apply continuous learning to expand technical skills and contribute to team outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or related field
• At least 1 year of professional experience in finance, FP&A, or related analytical roles
• Proficiency in financial modeling and familiarity with budgeting/forecasting techniques
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with data to inform business decisions
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to varied audiences

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• Degree or coursework in Accounting, Analytics/Data Science, Computer Science/Information Systems, Risk Management, or similar
• Prior industry experience (Banking & Capital Markets, Industrials, Consumer Goods)
• Experience with data visualization tools and financial management software
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients or cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $61,000 - $100,000 per year (actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location)
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus where applicable
