About the Role
Confidential client is seeking an entry-level FP&A Analyst to join their finance team in Manhattan, NY. This role sits on the FP&A team supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytic work for a multi-product SaaS business in the accounting & finance industry. The position is open as Full-Time or Contractor. Salary range: $69,000 - $79,000 USD per year.
What You’ll Do
- Support preparation of monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
- Maintain and update financial models, budgets, and forecasts using standard templates and processes.
- Pull and organize data from systems such as NetSuite, Planful, and Salesforce to support reporting and analysis.
- Conduct research and build basic analyses to answer defined business questions with guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities supporting consolidation and reporting tasks.
- Maintain key financial schedules, KPI trackers, and dashboards.
- Support special finance projects and ad-hoc analyses as directed by the FP&A team.
- Use AI tools to accelerate data organization, report preparation, and analytical documentation tasks.
What You’ll Bring
- 0–2 years of finance, accounting, or analytical experience; recent graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication—able to present financial data concisely and with impact.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn SaaS business economics (ARR drivers, retention, unit economics).
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or FP&A tools (Planful, Adaptive, Anaplan) is a meaningful plus.
What Success Looks Like at Six Months
- Accurately maintaining and updating financial models, budgets, and KPI trackers with minimal guidance.
- Delivering reliable data pulls from NetSuite, Planful, and Salesforce that the team trusts.
- Demonstrating growing understanding of SaaS metrics and how financial decisions connect to growth.
- Being viewed by senior analysts and managers as detail-oriented, proactive, and consistently improving.
- Proactively flagging data quality issues and analytical questions.
AI & Technology Expectations
- Leverage AI tools to increase productivity, quality, and speed of routine tasks (drafting, summarization, analysis).
- Identify process automation opportunities to reduce manual work.
- Apply AI thoughtfully to improve decision-making and document best practices for the team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $69,000 - $79,000 USD per year.

Travel Requirement
- Employees not based in the Nashville area are required to travel to the Nashville office at least twice per year for company gatherings (e.g., Connect Week). Additional travel may be required depending on role and business needs.
