What You’ll Do

Confidential client is hiring a Foundry Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain web-based tools that support internal engineering and operational workflows. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver secure, performant, and maintainable full‑stack solutions for mission-critical systems.

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Build and support server-side components and APIs with Node.js.
• Design responsive, accessible user interfaces that meet stakeholder needs.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to extend platform capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
• Work within Agile processes: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay current on web and full‑stack best practices and tools, and help the team adopt improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience building full‑stack web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Server-side experience with Node.js and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with relational databases and basic schema design.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to work on-site in New Orleans, LA as required by project controls and export-restricted work.

• Prior experience in defense, maritime, or aerospace software projects.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization best practices and secure coding standards.
• Experience with testing frameworks and observability tooling.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Primarily desk-based work with prolonged periods seated at a computer.
• Occasional on-site movement around an office or facility.
• Ability to perform typical office tasks such as keyboard/mouse use and reading screens/documents.
