What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to provide direct case management to children, birth families, foster families and primary caregivers. This is a non-exempt, full-time role focused on assessment, planning, coordination, advocacy and continuity of care to support child safety and well-being.

  • Identify strengths, limitations, risk factors, and service needs for children and case participants and refer/coordinate appropriate services.
  • Maintain required face-to-face contact with children and involved parties per state law, funder requirements, and program policy.
  • Keep ongoing communication with parents, caregivers, courts, providers and team members; document and notify parties of status or placement changes.
  • Ensure attendance and documentation for court dates, staffings and required meetings.
  • Provide information and accompany children to appointments when needed.
  • Transport and supervise children and case participants, including those with medical or behavioral health needs.
  • Mentor and support foster parents, birth parents and caregivers, offering training and crisis intervention.
  • Prepare timely recommendations and documentation related to services rendered.
  • Participate in on-call rotation per agency policy.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and secure releases of information as required.

  • $49,500 salary — entry level, non-certified Case Manager
  • $51,500 salary — one year of experience as a certified Case Manager
  • $53,500 salary — three years or more of experience as a certified Case Manager

Qualifications / What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (examples: Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Special Education, Education, Human Development, Child Development, Family Development, Marriage & Family Therapy, Nursing), OR
  • Associate’s degree or 60+ college credits plus two (2) years of full-time social work or human services experience
  • Reliable transportation and ability to use a personal vehicle to transport clients; valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to complete background screening, drug screening and motor vehicle checks as required by agency and Florida Care Provider regulations
