What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Palantir Foundry) — Experienced Associate to design, build, and deploy client-facing data and AI solutions using Palantir Foundry. You will translate business needs into scalable data pipelines, applications, and analytics that generate actionable insights.
- Lead development and deployment of data solutions on Palantir Foundry
- Build data pipelines, transforms, and application layers for large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to integrate data and models
- Coach and mentor junior teammates; contribute to technical reviews and design decisions
- Manage components of client engagements — planning, budgeting, and delivery
- Analyze system interactions and recommend improvements to performance and reliability
- Advocate for adoption of modern tooling and engineering best practices
- Engage with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and align on technical tradeoffs
You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Analytics/Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 1+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable data platforms
- Practical knowledge of data engineering and analytics principles
- Familiarity with Python and/or TypeScript
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Client-facing experience or ability to work closely with business stakeholders
Preferred / Differentiating Skills
- Experience as a Foundry Data Engineer, Solution Architect, or Application Developer
- Background building applications that operate on large-scale datasets
- Demonstrated impact on client outcomes and customer-centric delivery
- Prior exposure to AIP or Palantir application frameworks
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving client environments
Logistics & Compensation
- Location: Chicago, IL (onsite / client travel as required)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Travel: Up to 80%
- Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 (actual pay dependent on experience, qualifications, and location)
- Benefits: Eligible for discretionary annual bonus and benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off — specifics depend on Confidential Client policy)
