What You’ll Do
You will join a client-facing software team as a Forward Deployed Software Engineering - Experienced Associate, delivering production-quality solutions that enable digital transformation for business clients. This is a hands-on engineering role with frequent client interaction and an emphasis on delivering reliable, testable, and maintainable software.
- Develop, test, and deploy web and backend applications that support client tax and business workflows
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementations
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python and JavaScript and use modern frameworks to build scalable systems
- Implement and maintain APIs and integrations between enterprise systems
- Apply CI/CD practices to automate builds, tests, and deployments
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product owners, designers, and client stakeholders — to deliver solutions that meet business needs
- Assist with requirements gathering, documentation, and business process analysis when engaging with clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of professional software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and enterprise application integration
- Practical experience or exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and a client-focused mindset
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with API management tools and practices
- Understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and software architecture patterns
- Background in software testing and quality assurance processes
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to business process improvement and requirements analysis in professional services settings
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $63,000 - $153,000. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
