What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Recent Graduate) to join a Data & AI Solutions team. In this client-facing role you will design, build, and deliver technical solutions that help organizations put large-scale data to work. You will own projects end-to-end, collaborate with product and strategy teams, and communicate with client stakeholders.

• Work directly with clients to understand business problems and design data-driven technical solutions
• Own projects from scoping and architecture through implementation and delivery
• Design and discuss system architecture and technical strategy with engineering peers
• Work with large-scale datasets and cloud infrastructure to build reliable solutions
• Develop custom web applications and front-end components when required
• Communicate progress and decisions to client executives and stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams (FDEs, product, strategy)
• Travel to client sites as needed (see Travel section)

• Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Curiosity and creativity for solving problems using data structures, storage systems, and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (up to 1 year professional experience) with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or a related engineering discipline
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
• Familiarity or interest with cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and large-scale data tooling
• Strong problem-solving skills and interest in translating technical work into business outcomes

Compensation & Benefits

For applicants located in New York, NY the estimated compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, plus annual bonus and additional benefits. Final pay is based on experience, skills, and business needs.

• Job location: New York, NY (on-site and client-site work expected)
• Travel: Expect travel in the range of 25%–50% depending on team and client needs
