Confidential Client is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Recent Graduate) to join their Data & AI Solutions practice in McLean, VA. This is an entry-level, full-time, client-facing engineering role for recent graduates who want to design and deliver data-driven software solutions for enterprise customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer you will:

• Work directly with clients to understand business problems and design technical solutions.
• Own projects end-to-end—from scoping and architecture through implementation and delivery.
• Build data pipelines and work with large-scale data to power analytics and applications.
• Develop custom web or data applications using backend and front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, strategy, and fellow engineers.
• Communicate progress and technical recommendations to client stakeholders and executives.
• Travel to client sites as required (travel typically 25–50%, varies by team).

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with up to 1 year of professional experience in an engineering or technical role.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or related field.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience or coursework involving data processing, software development, or cloud platforms is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

For applicants located in Virginia: an estimated salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 per year, plus an annual bonus and additional benefits. Actual pay is determined by factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity.

• Travel: Expect travel to client sites; typical range is 25–50% depending on team and project.
