Role overview
This is a Forward Deployed Engineer (Experienced Associate) role working with a Confidential Client in the IT industry. You will design, build, and support AI-enabled, full‑stack data and application solutions that turn enterprise data into actionable insights for clients across risk domains (internal audit, SOX compliance, forensics, and similar areas). This is a learning‑focused, client-facing position where you will contribute to project work, deepen technical skills, and help deliver secure, production-ready solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, test, and maintain AI-powered full‑stack applications (frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud).
- Integrate AI services and automation (OpenAI, Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Gemini, Claude, AgentSpace, etc.) into enterprise applications and business workflows.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, retrieval systems, and integrations to enable secure access and processing of enterprise data for AI use cases.
- Apply natural language processing (NLP) techniques to improve text analytics and information retrieval.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and application functionality in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Support deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and DevOps practices for production applications.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance requirements are embedded in development activities.
- Participate in client support activities and assist teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (any field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience designing, developing, or supporting software applications, AI-enabled solutions, or related technology platforms.
- Practical experience with at least one programming stack used for full‑stack development and application integrations.
- Strong communication and active listening skills for client and team interactions.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Academic background in Analytics/Data Science, AI/Robotics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting full‑stack applications (modern frontend frameworks, backend services, databases, cloud platforms).
- Direct experience integrating AI platforms (OpenAI, Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Gemini, Claude, AgentSpace) into applications.
- Experience implementing NLP solutions, information retrieval, or text analytics.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and production operations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 (actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location; all hired individuals are eligible for discretionary bonus where applicable).
- Benefits typically include medical, dental, vision, retirement (401k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/family sick leave. Exact benefits will be provided by the Confidential Client.
Work arrangement & Location
- Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid work model — role includes client engagement and on-site collaboration as required).
