What You’ll Do

As a Forensic Analytics Analyst (entry-level) for our confidential client you will apply data, analytics, and technology to help clients address regulatory, risk, and forensic challenges. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Join a practice focused on digital forensics, anti-money laundering (AML) analytics, and forensic analytics to support investigations and compliance engagements
  • Develop data analysis plans and analytics strategies to scope investigations and model risk
  • Leverage statistical, rules-based, and predictive modeling techniques to detect anomalies and patterns in transactional and financial datasets
  • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and GenAI where appropriate to support explanations of past events and inform decision-making
  • Query and mine large datasets using SQL and other platforms to identify transaction patterns and targeted evidence
  • Design and implement predictive and text-analytics models and cognitive computing solutions to detect fraud and noncompliance
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams with forensic accountants, attorneys, investigators, data engineers, and business analysts
  • Contribute to practice technology initiatives and adopt new tools and frameworks as the practice evolves

Core Responsibilities & Daily Work

  • Analyze high-performance relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access, OLAP) to uncover insights
  • Query, filter, and transform large datasets to support forensic objectives
  • Develop and test analytics models and scripts (e.g., Python-based predictive analytics)
  • Create visualizations and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView) to present investigative results clearly
  • Communicate findings in written and verbal form to client teams and internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced consulting environment and travel to client sites as needed (up to 25% on average)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed) OR currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with expected graduation by Spring/Summer 2027 in Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment
  • Reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office and be able to commute daily if required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% on average
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently and in teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Windows-based systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong academic track record (3.2 cumulative GPA preferred)
  • Relevant internship or professional experience in analytics, forensics, or related fields
  • Familiarity with:
    • Relational databases and SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle)
    • Predictive analytics / data mining tools and languages (e.g., Python)
    • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView)
    • Big data tools (Hadoop ecosystem: Hive, Pig, Impala) and reporting tools (Business Objects, Reporting Services)
    • Machine learning, GenAI, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Demonstrated interest in forensic analytics, AML, fraud detection, or digital investigations
