Forensic Accountant
The Forensic Accountant will support senior staff in conducting forensic audits, fraud examinations, and compliance investigations by analyzing financial and operational data, participating in site visits and interviews, and assisting with litigation and construction monitoring projects. This entry-level role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver investigative and compliance solutions.

Core Responsibilities
- Assist with forensic accounting investigations involving fraud, corruption, financial misconduct, asset misappropriation, and other irregularities.
- Review and analyze financial records, including general ledgers, bank statements, invoices, contracts, payroll records, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
- Perform transaction testing, reconciliations, and data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators.
- Assist in drafting client reports and preparing schedules, tables, exhibits, charts, and other presentation materials.
- Support litigation, arbitration, and dispute-related matters through document review, financial analysis, and preparation of exhibits and schedules.
- Assist with construction monitoring engagements by reviewing budgets, invoices, draw requests, change orders, project expenditures, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, interviews, site visits, and fieldwork as needed.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, investigators, compliance professionals, research analysts, and other subject matter experts on client engagements.
- Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards and professional practices.
- Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to organize, reconcile, and evaluate large datasets.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting, finance, or consulting experience (entry-level).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience or comfort using AI-assist tools (e.g., Copilot) for analysis and drafting.
- Candidates pursuing CPA licensure and/or CFE designation are encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
Position Type & Schedule
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Typical hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Role may require long hours or weekend work on occasion.
Travel & Physical Requirements
- Travel, including overnight travel, may be required based on client engagements, investigations, site visits, and project needs.
- Most work performed seated at a desk using a computer; occasional lifting/moving of items up to 20 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $113,372 per year (estimated). Final pay will depend on experience, skills, and specific location.
