What You’ll Do
This role is a hands-on, plant-floor position focused on ensuring finished products meet company and regulatory food-safety and quality standards. Typical day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conduct in-depth quality checks on products, packaging, and equipment to confirm compliance with HACCP, USDA, and internal standards.
- Perform routine product testing (temperature, weight, pH, visual/organoleptic checks) and accurately record results.
- Support and participate in internal and external quality audits; document findings and help implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and update quality assurance logs, inspection records, and traceability documentation.
- Identify process- and product-related opportunities for improvement and communicate practical recommendations to production leadership.
- Provide on-the-floor guidance and training to production team members on quality standards and safe handling practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, sanitation, maintenance) to resolve quality or safety issues quickly.
What We’re Looking For
We seek detail-oriented candidates with interest or experience in food safety and quality systems. Preferred qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or related field is a plus.
- 0–2 years of experience in a quality assurance or food production environment; entry-level candidates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with food safety principles (HACCP) and basic quality control methodologies.
- Comfortable working 100% on the plant floor: standing, walking, and climbing stairs regularly; able to routinely lift 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, good record-keeping skills, and basic problem-solving ability.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or similar tools for recording and reporting results.
- Able to work assigned shifts (1st and 2nd shifts available per the posting).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

- Must be able to follow safety procedures and participate in required training.
