What You’ll Do

This is a practical, hands-on Food Quality Technician role supporting production and QA on 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM). You will help maintain product safety, quality, and compliance for a Confidential Client operating in the food manufacturing space.

• Conduct in-process analytical testing on products made on continuous cooking equipment (e.g., % soluble solids, viscosity, color).
• Perform organoleptic (sensory) and visual inspections of manufactured product.
• Audit cook stations and packaging lines for HACCP and GMP compliance (weights, seals, temperatures, coding).
• Verify printed labels and packaging films meet approved Marketing standards.
• Validate incoming raw materials against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs); perform annual raw material COA validations.
• Initiate and document corrective actions — escalate food safety or quality issues to the supervisor or designee.
• Perform environmental swabs of equipment as required and support the QA lab when needed.
• Complete accurate daily documentation and maintain clear professional communication with production and management.

Who You Are

We’re looking for an entry-level to early-career QA professional with food-plant experience and strong attention to detail.

• 1–3 years of Quality Assurance experience (food plant processes preferred).
• Associate’s degree in a science discipline with 1–2 years’ relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, batch records, COA review, and basic lab/production testing methods.
• Strong observational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule and cover rotating Saturdays as needed.
• Comfortable working fully onsite on a production floor and inside a QA lab environment.
