Flight Simulation Software Engineer
The Flight Simulation Software Engineer will develop and maintain software architectures, algorithms, and integrated systems to support flight simulation environments. What You’ll Do
- Design, document, and maintain software architecture, system requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and design artifacts for flight simulation systems.
- Implement, test, and maintain production-quality code and integrate software components into full systems.
- Build and support simulation environments used by Mission Systems engineers for functional and integration testing.
- Participate in an agile development team to plan, deliver, and iterate on features.
- Execute and document software research & development projects to evaluate new approaches and support product goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Minimum 2 years of programming experience in one or more of: C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or equivalent experience writing systems-level or simulation software).
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience developing or testing simulation environments and tools.
- Familiarity with mission systems, embedded or avionics software concepts.
- Prior work in agile teams and experience with version control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Interest or experience in R&D for software-driven systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay + variable compensation: $90,100 — $121,900 per year.
