What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Financial Operations Analyst to support day-to-day operational and financial activities for an investment management organization. This role offers hands-on exposure to trade processing, reconciliations, cash activity, and cross-team collaboration across investment, accounting, treasury, and operations.

• Support daily transaction processing, settlements, cash movements, fees, and account maintenance
• Review investment transaction data for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor trade and settlement activity and escalate exceptions for timely resolution
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations, operational reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial data validation and investigate differences between internal records and third-party sources
• Coordinate with custodians, administrators, banks, and external service providers to resolve operational issues
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requests by compiling documentation and transaction support
• Identify and document process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships in financial services, accounting, banking, or investment operations welcome)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working collaboratively across finance, accounting, investment, and operations teams
• Interest in investment management, capital markets, and financial operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or academic experience in investment/asset management, banking, accounting, or financial analysis
• Familiarity with investment products (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, alternative investments)
• Exposure to portfolio accounting platforms, Bloomberg, or other investment-related systems is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual salary: $72,693 (estimated)
