Compensation (summary)

  • Estimated base: $81,228 per year (estimated)
  • Plus: bonus eligibility and profit-sharing

Why This Role Is Different

  • A seat at the table early — your work will be presented to the CFO and executive team.
  • Breadth across cost, pricing, budgeting, market strategy, supply chain, and automation.
  • A real AI mandate — our data systems are integrated and set up for experimentation with AI tools.
  • Work that connects finance to the factory floor in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Work On

  • Explain what drives profit. Build revenue bridges (price, volume, mix), run budget vs. actual variance analysis, and help design KPI scorecards used by leadership.
  • Figure out true product costs. Build product cost models, use time-driven activity-based costing, and separate fixed from variable costs to reveal operating leverage and product/customer profitability.
  • Shape pricing decisions. Model margin and volume impacts of price changes and support commercial decisions.
  • Build the plan. Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario models with clear assumptions.
  • Market and competitive research. Estimate market size, segment opportunity, and competitor positioning to inform strategy.
  • Support supply chain analytics. Partner on inventory, service-level, and freight analytics when needed.
  • Automate recurring reporting. Convert manual reports into automated, AI-assisted dashboards and reports while protecting data integrity.

What Success Looks Like in Your First Year

  • First 90 days: You know the data and P&L, own a recurring price/volume/mix bridge, and have automated at least one manually produced report.
  • By six months: You’ve delivered a product cost model for a major product family and a fixed-vs-variable cost analysis used in decisions.
  • By twelve months: A KPI scorecard you helped build is part of monthly executive reviews and you’ve presented pricing or market analysis to leadership.

Who We're Looking For

Someone curious about the “why” behind numbers, eager to learn, and looking for rapid early-career growth. You should enjoy turning data into clear, actionable stories for non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0–4 years of professional experience (internships, co-ops, and serious academic or personal projects count).
  • Coursework or experience in managerial or cost accounting.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills and comfort working with large, imperfect datasets.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and analytics tools (experience building something with them is a plus).
  • Ability to translate numbers into a clear story for business leaders.
  • Sound judgment and data integrity — you check your work and protect confidential information.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Plans to pursue CPA, CMA, or MBA.

Our Data Toolkit

  • Tableau is used as an integrated data hub, combining ERP, CRM, and supply chain planning — with Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools layered on top. The historical dataset runs from 2019 forward.
  • You don’t need experience with every tool listed; the client hires for how you think and will teach the systems.

Growth & Benefits

  • A launchpad for professional goals — support for continuing education (CPA, MBA, etc.).
  • Direct mentorship from senior finance leadership and exposure to executive decision-making.
  • Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and eligibility for bonus and profit-sharing.
