Overview
This is an entry-level Financial Consultant role supporting clients across the United States, with hiring restricted to candidates who currently reside in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, western Wisconsin, or northern Iowa. You will be employed by a confidential client and receive mentorship, training, and tools to build a career in financial planning and wealth management.
Compensation & Location
- First-year average (estimated): $80,000 – $105,000
- Job location: Minneapolis, MN (candidate must reside in MN, ND, SD, west Wisconsin, or north Iowa)
- Employment type: Full-time
What You’ll Do
- Make strategic product, plan, and investment recommendations to help clients meet financial goals
- Grow and manage a client base through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Gather and analyze client financial information (cash flow, assets, liabilities, retirement goals, risk tolerance)
- Create customized financial plans tailored to each client’s life stage and objectives
- Use modern CRM and planning tools to manage client accounts and documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and mentorship to develop technical and sales skills
- Collaborate with team members and support a client-first service culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related analytical field (required)
- Working knowledge of financial products and financial planning fundamentals
- Experience or interest in roles such as financial advisor, financial planner, or client-facing finance positions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM systems, financial planning software, and Google Suite preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and quantitative skills
- Self-starter mindset, comfortable with networking and client acquisition
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/66 licenses are a plus but not required at hire
