Role Overview

This entry-level Financial Consultant role supports the delivery of personalized financial planning and advice to individual clients. You’ll learn to build customized plans covering risk management, estate planning, debt and investment management, retirement planning, mutual funds, and other financial products while developing a book of prospects through proactive outreach and marketing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be a coachable, organized team member pursuing training and professional development
  • Customize financial plans based on a client’s work, life stage, and evolving goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for newly acquired clients and prospects
  • Gather and assess client financial information to determine cash flow, financial status, retirement plans, and goals
  • Recommend appropriate products and investment strategies to help clients meet objectives
  • Maintain accurate client records and pipeline using CRM systems
  • Use research-based approaches and client education (meetings/seminars) to inform recommendations
  • Help clients implement recommended solutions (life insurance, savings plans, mutual funds, etc.)
  • Use social media and other marketing tools to generate and nurture prospects and referrals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related analytical field (required)
  • Working knowledge of financial products, personal financial advisor responsibilities, or financial planning roles
  • Strong math, communication, and client-relationship skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), CRM systems, financial planning software, and Google Suite is preferred
  • Valid FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly while maintaining integrity and professional standards
  • Proven networking or prospecting ability to generate new clients
  • Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, and/or Chinese is preferred but not required
  • Able to work on-site at the office at least three days per week
