What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Financial Analyst to support transaction monitoring, compliance review, and financial analysis initiatives. This role is on-site in Woodbridge, NJ and is an excellent opportunity to build practical experience in transaction analysis and compliance work.

• Review alerts from transaction monitoring systems and analyze activity for unusual or potentially suspicious behavior.
• Compare observed customer transaction patterns with expected account activity and investigate deviations.
• Investigate escalated or flagged transactions, conduct follow-up research, and determine whether activity is supported.
• Prepare clear, organized case notes and summaries for internal review and potential regulatory support.
• Partner with compliance, operations, and other internal teams to collect documentation for due diligence and enhanced reviews.
• Apply regulatory standards and internal controls consistently when documenting outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training on compliance expectations, emerging risks, and best practices.
• Work with technology and analytics teams to improve monitoring rules, reduce false positives, and increase alert quality.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
• Relevant exposure through coursework, internships, or entry-level roles in financial analysis, auditing, compliance review, or transaction monitoring.
• Ability to interpret transactional data, identify irregular patterns, and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
• Strong written documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, reporting tools, accounting software, or data analysis tools is a plus.
• Understanding of core financial concepts (accounting functions, accruals, budgeting) is beneficial.
• Professionalism, discretion, and adherence to confidentiality and regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated base salary: $59,718 per year (estimated).
• Employment type: Full-time.
• Location: Woodbridge, NJ (on-site).
• Benefits (may be available depending on engagement type): medical, vision, dental, life/disability insurance, and 401(k) eligibility for hired professionals. Specific benefits depend on employment type and will be provided by the hiring organization.
