Position summary

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Financial Analyst in Uptown, IN. This role supports month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with Excel and standard office productivity tools.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial close tasks and support the preparation of month-end journal entries
  • Analyze financial data to confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with forecasts
  • Prepare account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
  • Generate and interpret financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Review results and investigate variances vs. forecast and budget
  • Assist with annual budgeting, strategic planning, and rolling forecasts
  • Support ad-hoc financial requests and continuous process improvements

  • Timeliness of close and reporting deliverables
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in data and reconciliations
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in finance or accounting (entry-level)
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and learning financial systems
