What You’ll Do
The Financial Analyst will support departmental and organizational decision-making through timely, accurate financial analysis, reporting, and modeling.
- Perform financial analysis including standard modeling, projections, reports, and presentations using financial and encounter reporting tools and datasets.
- Support the annual operating and capital budget planning process.
- Collaborate with department managers to prepare and refine department-level budgets.
- Prepare monthly financial performance and capital budget tracking reports; highlight trends and issues that impact the business.
- Assist treasury-related activities such as cash management, investment tracking, and debt compliance monitoring.
- Conduct financial and market analysis for internal initiatives and external business development opportunities.
- Identify process improvements to increase data accuracy and reduce reporting/model update time.
- Support financial risk and care/cost-variation analysis, applying statistical techniques where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial and healthcare trends that affect budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required.
- Entry-level to 2 years of relevant experience; basic financial skills and an understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash-flow relationships.
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, charts); familiarity with modeling best practices.
- Experience or exposure to financial planning tools (Axiom, Adaptive Planning) a plus.
- Experience with Tableau, Decision Tools, or other statistical/optimization tools is preferred.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
- Able to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working in a complex healthcare finance environment.
- Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to changing business needs.
Working Conditions & Schedule
- Normal office environment; work requires prolonged computer use and the ability to read numbers on-screen.
- Hybrid work schedule (onsite in Schiller Park, IL with remote flexibility as defined by the client).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $52,300.00 - $89,500.00 per year (range provided by client).
- Competitive benefits package (health, retirement, paid time off); eligibility depends on role and location.
- Compensation will be determined by equity and qualifications.
