Location & Relocation
Confidential Client is recruiting a Financial Analyst to support Plant Cost Operations based in Detroit, MI. The role includes a full relocation package to LaPorte, IN, and candidates may begin remotely for 30–60 days while relocation logistics are finalized.

What You’ll Do
- Support the Plant Controller with day-to-day general accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Analyze manufacturing inventory costs and investigate standard cost variances; assist with cost‑reduction initiatives
- Maintain payroll and fringe expense tracking, labor standards, and site fixed assets/capital plan
- Assist with General Accounting and Cost Accounting functions: product costing, variance analysis, and account reconciliations
- Support monthly finance close, business review packages, and budgeting/forecasting
- Conduct process research (interviews, observation, mapping) and recommend improvements; build spreadsheets and tools to support the work
- Participate in physical inventory and fixed asset counts; provide backup for daily reporting and checkbook review
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field plus 1–3 years of relevant experience (strong new graduates with internship experience encouraged to apply)
- Comfortable and efficient in Excel; exposure to Word and Access is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into clear recommendations
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship); role requires access to export‑controlled items
Compensation
- Estimated annual salary provided by Confidential Client: approximately $76,883 per year (estimate).
