Role Overview
Confidential client (Healthcare & Nursing) is hiring a Financial Analyst to join their finance team in Mission Hill, MA. This entry-level to early-career role provides hands-on experience in hospital finance, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting from Workday, and exposure to Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting processes. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proficient with spreadsheets, and eager to learn healthcare reimbursement and cost reporting fundamentals.
What You’ll Do
- Process and reconcile monthly general ledger (GL) data and journal entries.
- Maintain costing tables, statistics and overhead allocations used in cost processing.
- Compile financial information and assist in preparing and explaining reports from Workday.
- Assist with the development and distribution of scheduled and ad hoc financial and statistical reports.
- Support Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting activities by preparing supporting schedules and reconciling financial and statistical data to source documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of department, clinic, and patient information.
- Complete special projects and ad hoc analyses accurately and on time.
- Use spreadsheets, statistical packages and visualization tools to assemble and present data in a clear, user‑friendly format.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent education.
- 1–3 years of healthcare finance or related accounting/finance experience preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and common office applications.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; ability to present data clearly and concisely.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel required; familiarity with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access helpful).
- Experience using Workday or other enterprise financial systems for reporting.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn federal and state cost reporting requirements and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
- Ability to produce complex documents, perform analyses, and maintain basic databases.

Compensation
- Pay Range: $60,320 — $81,183 (annual base salary). This range reflects the organization’s good-faith estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, education, certifications, and other permissible factors.

- This role provides valuable exposure to hospital financial operations, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and enterprise financial reporting systems.
