What You’ll Do
This entry-level Financial Analyst (Part‑time, hybrid) supports departmental finance and budgeting activities through month-end close, budget-to-actual analysis, and clear presentation of financial results to business partners. You will work with department managers and project leaders to support six budget events per year and use standard accounting principles to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare month-end close activities and create journal entries under supervision
- Produce budget vs. actual reports and analyze variances for department leaders
- Support six annual budget events with department managers and project leaders
- Build presentations and reports to communicate financial status and recommendations
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and cost accounting tasks
- Use Excel, PowerPoint and SAP to compile and present financial data
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, OR Associate’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years accounting-related experience
- Experience level: 0–2 years with a bachelor’s degree; minimum 2 years with an associate’s
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and cost accounting
- General understanding of accounting functions and terminology
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation and organizational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present financial information to non‑finance audiences
Working Conditions
- Office / Hybrid remote schedule
- Part‑time role (regular schedule to be discussed during interview)
- Typically 0–5 hours of overtime per week
- Some travel may be required
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly/annual range: $55,700 — $83,600 (range provided by our client; final pay depends on experience, education, and location)
