What You’ll Do

This entry-level Financial Analyst role supports department managers and project leaders in budgeting, month-end close, and budget-to-actual analysis. You will apply foundational accounting principles to prepare journal entries, analyze financial results, and communicate findings to department leadership.

• Prepare month-end close activities and create journal entries with appropriate documentation and supervisor review
• Produce budget vs. actual analyses for assigned departments and present variances and recommendations
• Support six formal budget events per year with department managers and project leaders
• Build clear financial presentations to convey budget status and improvement opportunities
• Apply GAAP (and where applicable IFRS) principles to ensure accurate reporting
• Use Excel, PowerPoint and SAP (or similar ERP) to reconcile data, prepare reports, and automate routine tasks

Key Accountabilities

• Support accurate financial reporting through analysis and reconciliations
• Assist with creation and maintenance of budget assumptions and forecasts
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect inputs and validate project spending
• Deliver timely, actionable insights to help department leaders manage costs and performance

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, OR Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of accounting-related experience
• Experience level: 0–2 years with a bachelor’s degree; minimum 2 years with an associate’s degree
• Working knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus
• Basic cost accounting understanding and ability to apply accounting terminology and concepts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems preferred

• Office / Hybrid remote arrangement (location: Marysville, OH)
• Typical overtime: 0–5 hours per week
• Some travel may be required
