Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst at Confidential Client is responsible for preparing financial analyses, reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple sites. This role involves month-end close activities, variance and cost analysis, and developing tools to improve data accuracy and efficiency. What You’ll Do
This Financial Analyst role supports a confidential client in the Accounting & Finance industry. You will prepare analyses and reports for department managers and support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities across multiple North America sites.
- Prepare and consolidate financial data for reporting and decision support.
- Support annual budget development, expense and staffing forecasts, and Statistical reporting.
- Assist month-end close activities including journal entries, report generation, and deliverable preparation.
- Produce variance explanations, cost analyses, and performance summaries for stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain databases and files (Excel and Access) to automate tasks and improve accuracy.
- Execute special projects and assist with costing performance and AOP (Annual Operating Plan) activities.
- Document, perform, and improve key internal controls.
What We’re Looking For
- College degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required (BS preferred).
- Entry-level / early career: designed for candidates within ~2 years of completing their degree.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data integrity.
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and balance multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Skills & Tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required).
- Microsoft Access development and maintenance (preferred).
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems (preferred).
- Financial reporting, variance analysis, and basic costing knowledge.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and internal control documentation.
